I was just vectored out of the supported region by a controller, who I will not name. At least a warning would be good, because I’m sure they didn’t know either. The throttle used to be cut, but you could still move it, but now it is literally cut and you have no hope whatsoever. Just spiralled and tumbled until I’d scraped my way back into the area that allowed the throttle. Even though most passengers would have died through shock and G-force, the landing was ok. Not the greatest FNF! Maybe with global flight, everywhere will be supported! :P
EDIT: Was going to mention too, once I’d regained a bit of control, I checked the map and saw that the people behind me all suddenly start changing heading while rapidly descending xD
You’ve just got to do the best you can do. I felt angry at first and then realised that thr controller obviously didn’t intend for that to happen. But looking at the map and seeing the few planes behind me start turning and descending was awful, I thought, I wonder if they got the same shock I did xD
It happened to me he was vectoring everybody in the support region and when I noticed it, it was way to late and I was mad to and felt like he forgot about me but oh well a full plane of peps lost forever in the sea
This didn’t happen to me, but I also had a bad approach experience while coming into KSCK today. :/ I was like number 3 to land, and the controller started vectoring me out of the line because I was a little too close to the aircraft ahead. I could’ve slowed down and the problem would’ve been solved. But no. He vectored me all the way to the back of the line, and I was then number 10 to land. Turned what was supposed to be a 15 minute flight into LITERALLY a 45 minute flight.
It was quite a long approach for me too. The pattern work for sequencing the planes started at the bottom of the region, curved all the way round - up to just outside the edge of the region - and back onto 29R. I spent more time in total, doing an oval-shaped 360 and following this long curve than actually cruising. I’m not complaining though, I’d never be able to handle what some controllers do!
