I believe something must be done about 3D terminals, because the terminals make the game very heavy in some airports The game for me and, I imagine, for many other players would be MUCH better if there was a tool to turn off and/or turn on the 3D terminals. As if it were a button that allows you to deactivate and activate the 3D terminals.
Disabling 3D airports is a good idea, but if it is a request for the Features you must be TL2. However, have you tried lowering the rendering qualities and the density?
Hi and welcome to the community!
Which device are you using?
Have you checked out these tips:
I completely disagree.
What the point enjoying the SIM otherwise?
You need to either upgrade your device or deal with it to be blunt.
It would appear it’s an underperforming device and made it laggy and that would show the frustration of the OP, understandably.
But to have an option to switch off 3D airports is a bit too much
Perhaps the OP have the settings too high and reduced to low/medium as a cause of the problems.
For the actual dynamic of the simulator. Flying the actual planes. Some devices are very good and have very good internet connection, but are still struggling with low settings on
Unfortunately IF SIM get regular updates, and with the new upgrades comes with new game requirements. there will be some older or incompatible devices not capable to play the game.
That’s the reality.
Like I said it could well be the OP have the settings too high and needs to lower the settings in order to play with a laggy performance otherwise the OP needs to update his device. Perhaps the OP needs to increase the RAM available in his device. We don’t know.
But to suggest an option to switch off 3D airports in the IF SIM is almost laughable. That’s my whole point.
I get this, but I am also posing concern for NEW devices who may still have issues.
I have some around me with newer devices but still have issues with the simulator despite lowering graphics.
They encountered issues at airports with multiple aircraft despite lowering their graphics multiple times, so althought it might not be well for EVERYONE some people can find it useful
New devices shouldn’t have this issue, as long there are approximate RAM and it depends on the device doesn’t it? The OP haven’t informed us the type of device. It’s hard to determine this.
In respective of the above, to suggest an option to switch off 3D airports is not feasible.
I mean listen, it is their game, maybe they think disabling it would be better for their performance. Plus, it wont affect others in multiplayer
Well there’s more to it than some buildings. it’s a flight simulator, not an airport simulator. Somehow many here made it without buildings for most of this sims life
I believe that this option would be very good not only for me but for many other players, as the performance of my simulator works perfectly on my cell phone except for some 3D airports
Can you tell us the name of your cell phone model?
Yes, I’ve tried, but my only problem is the 3D terminals, because in airports without 3D terminals the simulator works perfectly/:
I use a Motorola Moto E40 cell phone
Try setting the 3D object density to low, it should improve it, if it still lags try reducing each graphics level by level untill your met with the FPS you want.
Devs shouldnt waste time catering to players who game on 2009 Nokias
I agree and disagree at the same time
I agree when I was using my old device(it was an 2014 iPad), it used to drain my battery a lot and sometimes after a long hauls, the game used to crash on the final approach
But now recently last year I bought a new device, the game runs smoothly on that and I actually like the 3D terminals
I disagree because there won’t be any fun of playing a simulator without real world entities, and adds a touch of being in real one.
**If you feel your device is draining lot of battery due to airports, try this: **
•I feel, you should probably try changing the fps from 60 to 30, it might enhance your device’s performance.
•While the flight, reduce the brightness and volume, set the camera to HUD view and put the time to night, this will drastically increase your device performance. I do that, but make sure you note down the ETA by comparing your VNAV, the DIST and ETA to get back to the device right around the decent.
Hi, I’ve already done everything you’re telling me to do. Lowers the graphics, decreases from 60fps to 30fps. However, as I already said, the Sim works perfectly well on my device except for some very heavy 3D airports, for example, in smaller 3D airports the game works well, but in larger airports it works a little poorly, you know?
I see your point, I’m glad you understand my situation, and I actually agree with the idea that it wouldn’t be so cool if the game didn’t have 3D buildings, but my goal is for IF to have a kind of “button” that allows the player to choose whether he wants his game with 3D Terminals or not and thus leaves the game experience as a choice for the player. For example, if you want to have 3D terminals, just Don’t click on “deactivate”, if I don’t want 3D terminals, I just click on “deactivate”. It wouldn’t match the experience of anyone who wants 3D terminals in the simulator.
