Why don’t they just allow to change callsign while aircraft is parked at the gate with park brake set and all the stuff specific to the ground equipments using ?

I may have imagined it but I’m almost certain we were able to do this before. I could be wrong.
There is definitely incentive to include this option with the likelihood of more people simulating multi-sectors now on the Neo due to its features.

They shutted down this feature because we were able to change it everywhere. Now if they allow us to change it only when we’re parked they won’t be any issues. Specially with the neo we want to do more and more multiple legs

Hopefully, it will be a thing!
With the new neo and the ability to do a proper turnaround and all the checklists and procedures that go with it, I think the ability to change your callsign on the ground would make this possible
