Thanks for the quick turnaround to rwy 28C almost missed the localizer and way too high at first but managed
no problem for you all, ill be tower and ground for a while
no problem, i will try to staff up chicago later!
Since this is not a training thread, you probably don’t want feedback?
ill take feedback! is it good or bad
I was actually very nice!
There are two things you should consider:
-
Progressive taxi instructions are intended for resolving conflicts (like you did on my pushback which was great) and should not be over-used in normal situations. Let pilots taxi at their own discretion.
Also, you should always announce them first with expect progressive taxi instructions and finish off with continue taxi at your discretion.
-
Pattern entry instructions are for pattern entries. When you changed me to 28C after takeoff, the first entry was correct, but from that moment on no more pattern entries were required.
If you want to tell a pilot when to turn base, there is a pair of instructions for that: Extend downwind, I’ll call your base followed with turn base. However, these should only be used to resolve/avoid conflicts. Let the pilots fly and don’t over-control.
Same applies for speed requests. If there is no conflict, you don’t need to tell me to adjust speed to follow aircraft ahead, as my sequence already instructs me to maintain appropriate separation.
Thanks! Ill improve on that
If you would like to join IFATC it would be best to make a tracking thread. If you do I’ll stop by and give you some feedback and eventually we will have a couple pilots who are able to give you solid feedback that way you can improve and join the group
ive not been looking lately but im down!
Continued in tracking thread
