So now, here are my thank you’s to everyone in this community.
The Infinite Flight Staff
Where else would I start? Without them, neither the community nor the sim itself would exist for us to enjoy; they have put down an incredible amount of work to keep the sim running and all I have for them is appreciation. Especially in the last year, we have seen some amazing updates that clearly show a tremendous amount of effort.
The IFATC
While I’ve been here, all I can say is that the IFATC team has shown incredible dedication and effort to control the virtual skies, train recruits, and in general serve as role models to the community! I applied on August 15th, got accepted about a month later, and since then I’ve familiarized myself and grown into the amazing community that is IFATC. I encourage you to join as well if you haven’t already-we as IFATC will strive to create a safe, forgiving, and welcoming community for existing controllers, trainees, and everyone else! I would like to give a special thanks to all of the supervisors, recruiters, appeals officers, trainers, moderators, testers, and of course our IFATC Manager @Tyler_Shelton in IFATC who have shown dedication of levels above and beyond in keeping IFATC alive and well!
The IFAET
The IFAET team has also shown incredible dedication, and thanks to them it is safe that a vast majority of the world’s major airports are now three dimensional for us pilots and controllers to enjoy, on a complete voluntary basis. I applied about 4 months ago, and I am eagerly awaiting my opportunity to join these incredible people who have done so, so much for the sim! And, just as above, I would like to especially thank the IFAET’s airport reviewers for going beyond the mile with their duties, and their roles are well deserved.
The IFVARB & The VA Community
The IFVARB has also shown large amounts of effort and dedication that I really appreciate. The event leaders, administrators, and reviewers have helped the VA community tremendously-speaking of which, I would also like to thank all of the members of virtual airlines & organizations as well as their respective staff members; they have really helped our community grow, especially in the sector of realism, which as you may have guessed by now I value a lot. Of course, I would like to especially thank the virtual airline which I staff in, and have been staffing for over 7 months now, @DiscoverVirtual. They brought me to the VA world and I owe them a special thanks.
The Community
And with all that being said, at the end of the day, it all circles back to you-the community. The IFC has been the heart of Infinite Flight for almost a decade now, and despite my time here paling in comparison to some of our veteran members’, I fully believe that with the IFC, Infinite Flight has grown to a level that could have only been dreamed of when the game was first launched more than a decade ago. Everyone here has contributed to the growth of the simulator and fully deserves appreciation of their own.
That’s all! Probably quite long to read, but I’m sure everyone reading this has contributed to Infinite Flight, whether that is through controlling, through editing, participating in VAs, participating in the community, or just flying planes in the virtual skies!
The following users I believe I owe special thanks to; these people have massively helped me in my first year with Infinite Flight.
@The118th @Delta174J @Trey @Cooper @Waxyscorpion308 @Anthony_Gulluscio @MyGoal_isNASA @PhorzaSky @Dimitrios_TA @Random_AviatorYT @MAviationYT @deltaoutofdca @Stef_Smet @danii @tsukki @BP-Aviation @Alboma @a5b6d28383 @adam_2tuff @Cpt.Ace @Txweather @McKnight @JetSetBOS @pencil_GOD @CptRuben @Aviation_Alex @GWallace @SammyDoesGaming @IF_California @DiscoverVirtual @MJMN @Zolksy @IFSpencer @kadengg @oda @DJW @spinalcase @Avaitor1 @Jger @Avean
And I probably forgot half of you that fully deserve to be on here…
My final thanks will go to GRAXUM Intergame, the organization that brought me into here; I joined them 5 and a half years ago and since then I have grown within them. They introduced me to Infinite Flight and I really appreciate them for helping find IF.
And onto the next one!
Will I be here next year? We’ll see (probable yes).
