Hello there, fellow IFCer.
My family and our friends decided to go on a holiday to Turkey this year. It’s Easter Holidays as well in Lithuania, so instead of having to submit a request to skip like 5 or 6 days of school, it turns out 4 (just taking the entire week off after returning (there’s a day off in the middle of the week (brilliant))).

Alright, photos now
Our trip started with a very nice 40 minute delay
Once we got to the airport, we went through the new Vilnius Departure Terminal! Looks very modern from the outside, and I can say the same to the inside!
Since we had a priority package included, we got priority check-in, fast track and priority boarding, pretty nice huh? Oh and here’s another interesting thing that happened. Once we got to the check-in, we were told that the seats we booked online (23A, B, C) were apparently booked twice, not sure how’s that happened. But here it gets interesting, we got upgraded to an exit seat, which meant more legroom. Sick.
So it was time for takeoff, and we were getting to our plane by bus, and because BGS needs to get their stuff together, we needed to wait like 10 minutes for the bus after we were cleared boarding, which got me a bit frustrated.
Once on board the bus, we went to the plane, nothing interesting there, did the mandatory airplane touch before the flight and went to our seats, 16D, E, F. I was sat at 16F, fortunately.
So we took off and we went over Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Watched movies, listened to music, went to the lavatory, standard flight procedure.
Time for approach! Went to runway 18C for the landing. Pilots did a nice and smooth landing. And of course, this being a flight from Lithuania, people clapped after the landing .
And me being me, I’ve forgotten to take a picture at the gate. So anyways, we arrived at gate 222 in the new terminal which is the emptiest terminal I’ve seen in my life. Once we went through passport control and baggage claim, we went outside. And a very ominous looking Boeing 777-300 was sitting there, waiting for its next flight.
And that concludes the trip report, hope you enjoyed reading through my rant about BGS and until next week, cya!
