Feedback from YMCA

I have nothing to tell you. All of the situations you’ve faced were excellently handled: taxi, take-off, landing, touch-and-go, sequencing, go-around, departure, transition… You’ve definitely got your chances for the practical. Congratulations and good luck, I really hope to see you as an ATC very soon!

Feedback D-LOWPAZ

Upwind conflict was handled very well
But there was one thing which I didn’t like.
When a plane doesn’t cross the threshold, you have to count it. You cleared me as Number two but I was number 3. I resend the sequence message that you understood which mistake you have done. But it was handled very well

ok here is some feedback from D-MOAZ:

first of all you are really good but you to practice some points before attending your practical.

  1. when requesting departure, after you approve it you should issue a "freq. change approved " after you make sure there is no conflicts to be concerned about with the aircraft remaining in the pattern.

  2. your sequencing is great, but you should be a little bit faster, when YMCA issued a go-around, you should’ve sequenced him instantly after responding to his go around.

  3. you nearly missed my clearance, its until I reported my positions that’s when you issued the clearance, cleared for the option is technically right, but since I was reporting a full-stop a cleared to land would’ve been the better option.

teeny tiny tip for you: when you have two aircrafts which are parallel and one of them request runway change into the others path, like what happened when D-LOWPAZ requested change into R26L you should tell him to extend his upwind and call his crosswind later, instead of waiting and then instructing him to enter downwind, that to eliminate any possible conflicts. what you did is right but for efficiency you should work with my tip, its what you choose to do after all !!

that’s it from me, thanks for having me, have a nice day!!!

Thanks for coming, I’ll use that in future.

That was okay… He kept me in the right downwind pattern on 26R
And traffic to follow on the otherside

yeah I know but here is a link that explains why its not the best option

here there is a paragraph that talks about upwind incursions and conflicts, it explains that what you did is right but when turning base into the same runway from different sides is a bit of a problem :)

Ok, thanks for coming. Some of those points I didn’t know so I’ll use them in future. I am not looking at doing my practical just yet as I have only had 1 training session so far.

Thanks again!

To be honest, I want it simple and efficient in one row. When a another aircraft would be inbound on right downwind it would be confusing sure. It’s a Common mistake but not a fail.

Next time use extend upwind. The other aircraft should turn crosswind … that you don’t have a conflict. @Oliver_P

Try to make it easy and efficient
Good luck !
