I need to make this clear. To me old version was better.i have not enjoyed the new version ever since it came out even though I have a good specs to play.On the order version, complains was mainly centered on night flying and and the other lighting system such as taxi and landing lights to be realistic as well as reply bug.Old version was much smoother and device wasn’t heating up.New version causing heat, lags, loading time etc
I wish we just maintain the older version. Many users here can’t afford to buy new devices for the new version and in the long run had to quit because not everyone has the money to purchase new device.im not comparing Sims here but RFS for instance still supports older devices even though they provide updates weekly.
Please IF kindly bring back the older version, update the aircraft and liveries so those who can’t afford new devices can still enjoy some updates just like those on the newer version.
They’ve mentioned what I say below on multiple occasions.
From a technical standpoint, the old “engine” was holding them back a lot. With the new engine and content pipeline, they are able to move forward at a faster pace, bringing more advanced systems, like better lighting and overall (hopefully) faster development.
The old engine will not be returning. Period. From what has been indicated, it’s been all but eradicated from the game’s code.
All games like this need to evolve to stay relevant, and that means gradually phasing out support for older devices. That’s just the reality of it.
What settings do you have it set to? The GPU (Mali MC2 series) in that device is fairly mid-range and could potentially struggle on the highest settings.
You cannot directly compare sims that use completely different engines and optimisation techniques. Also AeroFly is a PC sim with a mobile port, compared to Infinite Flight which was built for mobile from scratch, making them even less comparable.
Plus AeroFly doesn’t have all the complex server and multiplayer elements that Infinite Flight has, which uses up a considerable amount of the resources required.
I would lower everything to Medium, Anti-Aliasing off and FPS set to 30 (60fps sometimes struggles even on the flagship devices, let alone a mid-range device).
I totally agree with you. The new version does have more realistic lighting effects, but it also makes the phone heat up and use up more battery. Plus, the weather always feels so foggy
yeah let’s bring back the old version because “Uncle_Kofi” can’t run it and also the people who don’t have good devices, that’s not their problem because at the end of the day this version was essential to make developer’s job easier so they’re not bringing it back just to compensate for y’all sob story, not to be rude but that’s really just a personal problem
I get it, it’s frustrating that you can’t currently enjoy the new version of Infinite Flight due to the limitations of your device. However, Infinite Flight is a business and they’re not going to kneecap themselves to keep the app usable for users of older devices. Furthermore, most of what you’re complaining about doesn’t seem to be issues with the app itself, but rather how it runs on your phone, which you’ve diagnosed as due to it being an older device. See the previous point.
Hello, I don’t mean to be rude but this is just a stupid argument. You can easily tweak settings to make it run smoothly and I have an iPad 10th gen and, it does it heat up but if just turn on the AC or a celling fan it cools down pretty quickly.
