Thank you for contacting support!
Our minimum device requirements was changed together with the Global release due to the rapidly evolving features of Infinite Flight which require greater device performance and specifications to smoothly operate. To ensure the best possible experience we recommend that a device has at least 1GB+ of internal device memory (RAM). Our mission will be to continually optimize performance, however the bar must be raised with future features in mind.
- 64 bit device
- iOS 10 operating system or later
- Click here to see full list of iOS devices supported at this time
- Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system or later
- Device must support OpenGL ES 3.0 (Check here.)
Note: Due to large variety of Android devices there is not a specific list of supported devices. Customers with devices that are not supported at this time will receive a message on the Google PlayStore when attempting to download the latest update for Infinite Flight to advise that the device in use is not supported.
We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.
Based on what @Levet said, you need Android 5.0 and higher but you have Android 6.0. Are you sure you are getting the operating system right?
Either way that device only supports Open GL ES 2.0 ;)
Edit: There’s many variants I suppose. Some do support Open GL ES 3.0 but in this case it is likely the device here doesn’t.
Hmm, didn’t know that was possible. Thanks for clearing that up.
To further up what Levet said:
You most likely have the P8 Lite that got released in 2015. It runs the ARM Mali-450 MP4 GPU that only supports OpenGL ES 2.0, just like Levet stated. The only P8 Lite that supports the Global update (or higher) is the 2017 version which supports OpenGL ES 3.2 (ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU).
The only solution here is to upgrade your device I guess. ;)
