Since the A330-200 has been announced, I just couldn’t find a better opportunity to make a livery request for the beautiful Avianca A330-200 in the old livery. Even though Avianca did operate the -200s with their new livery, Avianca decided to operate their -200 fleet mostly with their old and star alliance livery painted planes. It would be amazing to have this livery in the game to enjoy some of the history of the world’s 2nd oldest airline which many of us love. If you’re one of them, please consider it for a future update !!!
this livery cannot be requested, airplanes can only be requested with the last livery they had before retirement, so the previous livery avianca had before the change a couple of years ago
But the plane we are requesting is the N973AV and if you see the history of that plane its last airline was Avianca and with the old livery, there are several airlines in Infinite Flight with the old livery and the new one, why not have the same with our Avianca?
Im not the one making the rules gang, Im just saying this so the game includes actual liveries or at least the most recent ones, the registration doesnt matter, the aircraft type was last used by Avianca when it had the new livery (now old)
Again Im not the one making the rules broskie, I wish we had it but it makes so much sense not to have multiple old liveries, the simulator has to prioritise
Their rules are extremely inconsistent regarding retro liveries. To be completely honest, they should get rid of all of these nonsensical restrictions to liveries - they’ve clearly shown they’re more than capable of doing very complex liveries (i.e. JetBlue Blueprint E190, ANA A380 and Sichuan A350).
Regardless, this livery is permitted because of this:
This livery would not be a retro, nor is it a special edition, it is simply the Avianca livery before its new image, the same one that we have in the A318 that is already in Infinite Flight
I never labeled it as retro but the rules do say the following thing:
Only current and permanent liveries for a specific airline may be requested, or if the airline is no longer flying, the permanent livery when it ceased operations (alliance liveries such as Oneworld and Star Alliance are also permitted)
I dont think theres any inconsistency about that. The rule is clear, as much as I am Colombian and would love to see this livery there’s no reason at all it should be considered taking into account that:
The livery does not longer exist
The airplanes’ last livery was not this one which is exactly what the rule opposes to
The airplane isn’t even part of Avianca anymore so other liveries should have priority
Once again, there’s no inconsistency about the rule I just quoted, and yea sadly Im party pooping the livery but I’d prefer to include multiple liveries that exist nowadays than be inconsistent with a rule that so far has been consistent, its a matter of priorities and what matters the most, having a bunch of liveries that don’t exist nowadays or having a bunch of liveries that do exist nowadays? (even if they are from airlines that aren’t popular).
