Since being founded in May 2021, Breeze Airways has always prided themselves on flying routes between underserved city pairs, and this operational idea has served to their advantage for the last 5 years. In september 2024, the airline started serving Washington Dulles Int’l; the biggest of the 3 airports serving the nations capital with 4 routes, one of them being to Ogdensburg NY on the shore of the St. Lawrence river, a town of only about 9,500 people that has long lacked sustainable airline service.
Due to an essential Air service contract that Breeze won, they were able to give the town sustainable and lasting service to Washington DC, Raleigh, and seasonally to Orlando on their A220-300. Today, we will be flying to the nations capital in “nicest” aka the airlines first class product.

After spending springbreak in Burlington VT skiing, I figured I give myself a few extra days to get back to Denver for school to fly some interesting routes! After a very early drive from VT amid a blizzard, and a few hops between the U.S and Canada, I got to the Ogdensburg airport just in time to catch a picture of our A220 inbound from Dulles! Due to the small size of the airport, I arrived only an hr before departure; just enough time to check my ski bag and get a snack after TSA.
As expected, the flight was 95% full with just a few empty seats. I was able to snag the last first class seat just ahead of the overwing exit which gave great views of the PW1500G engines.
Climbing slow but also quick out of Ogdensburg.
Reaching our brief cruising altitude of 34,000 east of Syracuse as the snack and drink service started. In breeze’s first class product, one snack and drink is included in the ticket; i had a vanilla latte and Gardetto’s Original Snack Mix, and enjoyed the free personal device entertainment while also starring out the window at the Appalatians whoes geography has always mesmorized me!

Short final as we pass the Steven F. Udvar Haisey center which is part of the Smithsonian organization and is home to many incredible exibits including a Concorde, SR71, and the Discovery space shuttle!
