Hi friends, wanted to come onto here and share I passed my Private Pilot checkride yesterday! After hours of hard work and dedication, it all paid off. While it was anything but easy, I am happy to say that through it all, I made it work and I have this community partially to thank for that. Ever since I was 7, Infinite Flight helped fuel my love for flying and helped me reach a point that for the longest time, felt like a distant dream. I want to thank the entire community whether we’ve spoken or not for having an instrumental role in me reaching this important milestone. This fall, I will be furthering my aviation education at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. To those who are working on their PPL, although there will undoubtedly be times where you feel discouraged or have a bad flight, or maybe you just feel like you can’t grasp navlogs (cough cough me until the end), just know that you have a whole community here to turn to for guidance with a common love for aviation. With all the behind the scenes adversity I’ve had to face, just know that if I can do it, so can you. Feel free to reach out to me at anytime for any guidance, questions, or really anything at all. I am always willing to talk!
Congratulations on passing your checkride! That’s such an inspiring accomplishment, and it’s amazing to hear how Infinite Flight and this community played a role in your journey. Your dedication and perseverance really paid off, and I have no doubt you’ll continue to excel at Embry-Riddle this fall. Thanks for offering to help others—you’ve already proven that you can turn dreams into reality. Wishing you the best in your future aviation endeavors!
Congratulations @Asher 🥳, from you being an officially licensed pilot to me hopefully going to my first lesson at a flying club I recently joined this coming Saturday all of us community members are either flying either in real life at the controls of a plane or being in command in the simulator and I’m glad infinite flight helped you in pursuing your dream, hopefully infinite flight will help me in my first lesson to impress my instructor. Good luck in your next course
Congratulations!! Huge milestone. Instrument is a tough rating, but im sure you’ll knock it out in no time.
#1 pro tip (as stated by Ethan) Use SheppardAir to study for your writtens!! Their study courses are truly amazing. Plus you can get a discount by using them for all your writtens! I got high A’s on all my Commercial and CFI written exams.
If you decide to use SheppardAir, when you call make sure to tell them you are an Embry Riddle Student, they may give you a discount.
#2 pro tip for checkride prep use PilotsCafe! Its like a 30 page document with all things instrument. Its insane, and can be obtained for free online.
I said it once on discord and I’ll say it here @Asher massive massive congrats to you!!! 🥳🥳
Hopefully I’ll get to talk to you one day whilst controlling the skies!! I am moving to Colorado in T - 1 week to start collage and pursue ATC as my career 🤭
