3 Years Ago Today. My first flight on a United 787-9, and a core memory of mine as it was my first ever trip to the UK as ive always wanted to go since i was little, and this all started on Christmas 2021, when my dad gave me a UK travel guide and i asked why i got this, and almost a year later, something ive always wanted became reality as well as us going to OVO Arena Wembley to see Porcupine Tree live. Such good times and a great flight on my #1 airline. Reg, N13954 on the flight to LHR and N29978 on the flight back to IAH, and of course, flight numbers were UA5 and UA4. Thought it would be a cool topic to share in this thread for the 787.

First time i steped in a 787, it was really nice and cant wait to make that flight again on IF as soon the uptade arrive. The flight was from SBGR to KORD 1 year ago with United

To me, this paint job doesn’t make sense now; it will only make sense in the 787 update next year.
Liveries are still added to aircraft despite being in the reworked pipeline, last update we got the Hawaiian livery on the B787-9 while it was recently added to the pipeline
Yes but I believe they said the Hawaiian livery would be the last one - if I recall correctly it was made before the 787 v 767 poll.

I like it, it keeps the original design on the empennage while adding the purple dashes, better than the Lufthansa effort.

Really a shame that the airline of Mexico—one of the most culturally rich nations on the planet—has such a basic and bland livery now. If you took away the titles, the Aztec warrior, and the flag, nothing about this would even remotely scream “Mexico.”

is azerbaijan airlines still going to be available as a livery once the -8 rework is done? It has to be one of the most beautiful looking planes in the sky and the livery is just timeless

The -8 won’t be reworked (at least that’s not the plan right now), so don’t worry about it.
