So earlier this morning I was en route to KORD(training server) from KCLT. Almost 130nm from the airport I kept getting calls from KORD Tower to " State my intentions ". I couldn’t respond and kept on getting spammed by the tower. Is this a glitch, troll? Any help is appreciated.
Its hard to say to be honest since it occurred on the training server. Could have been a connectivity issue on either end.
If they are contacting you while you are that far out then I’d say troll or someone learning the ropes. :)

Were you still tuned into the tower after takeoff?

I was not. I tuned out of the unicom frequency from CLT about 10-ish minutes after departure.

He was probably trolling as that has happened to me a lot. They see that you’re arriving at the airport they’re controlling at so they spam you since they have nothing better to do and they think it’s funny. Just ignore it

It’s only happened one other time before this time, not really an issue, rather just a nuisance.
