In order to go from Europe to KBOS for example, I have to use oceanic track A or I also con use oceanic track Z? I’m having a hard time understanding it… Thanks
You use track A, or plan something yourself if it’s too far north.
Track Z is for eastbound traffic.
While you could technically use Track Z, the tracks are updated daily because of winds, etc. If you think about it, Track Z would have to be the least efficient way for you to travel west.
Track Z only goes from west to east (eastbound), so it cannot be used for westbound travel.
You can use it you can’t get ghosted for it.
I’m just saying what would happen if you hypothetically plotted the waypoints in reverse.
Nothing would “happen”., Just you would encounter issues with traffic coming the other way
oh got it… are based on winds. Great response brother thank you !
By “happen”, I mean that they would lose a lot of efficiency because Track Z is there to be efficient for eastbound traffic. You would have very unfavorable winds as well as other issues.
Oh, fo course, sorry, I misunderstood
