Am I to assume I can’t use KJFK right now because of a fly out? I don’t want to press continue then get reported etc
read and follow the notam and you will be fine
Thanks Tom, I’m not gonna risk it though. I can’t make sense of it.
depart from JFK just do NOT depart EWR and fly to JFK
So I can spawn into jfk and take off?
yes file a FPL to anywhere outside of 50 miles
What about ceiling?..
you need to follow approach and departure instructions but fly above the TRF alt listed
Just don’t fly locally. Fly somewhere outside the tri-state area. Don’t make it complicated. Just fly elsewhere after departing JFK
If I want to land I have to be at 10,000 alt?
nO you need t follow approach instruction
you need to be OVER 10000 if you are overflying NY region
Let’s say you are landing
LISTEN to Approach they will tell you altitude and vectors
Okay thank you.
listen to ATIS on the ground first when at jfk or when inbound. there are multiple frequencies being used for app and tower
What would I do if I’m approaching from the west
follow approach instructions closely and you will be fine
