Not able to contact ATC

I was flying from KJFK to KMMU in an Airbus A220. Halfway thru the flight, I closed the app for a few mins. When I opened it again, there was a message saying that the session had been terminated because the app wasn’t active. I was able to continue the flight but the ATC button was disabled. How do I solve this?

Device: iPad Pro
Operating system: iPad OS 17.4.1

You may have been disconnected from the live server because the app was closed. It initially tries to reconnect if closed for a short period of time, but it it fails to connect then you’re off the live server.

Thanks! But is there any way to rejoin the live server once I get back after a period of time?

If you come back after a short while then it’ll automatically connect but if you take a bit longer it’ll still try to connect but mostly cannot bcz the link by then is broken and there’s possibly no way.

He apparently didn’t use resume flight but directly closed the app

Ahh Gotcha.

Infinite Flight is not designed to run in the background. You must keep the app open and active otherwise your connection to the live server will be terminated.

Yup. If you need to minimize the app for more than 30
Seconds, utilize flight resume.
