Norwegian announces a long-haul base in Barcelona.

Norwegian has announced today a new long-haul base, the sixth, in Barcelona, Spain. They’ll base two B787-8 since next summer 2017, adding 4 new routes: New York (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL)! For first time San Francisco will have direct flight to Spain. Isn’t a good announce? :)

I find it strange that they call themselves “Norwegian” when they primarily fly out London, Stockholm, and many other places that isn’t Norway. They should rename the airline to “European” haha.

Totally agreed haha. It’s quite ironic xD

They’ve done the same here in Palma. There are rumours that we’ll be getting direct flights to JFK, first transatlantic flights for us :)

That’s nice! Here in Valencia we’re waiting for NYC with Delta Airlines or another American Airline. I think we spoke via Twitter ;)

There’s no way you’re from Palma

I’m not sure if you are aware but EWR is in New Jersey not New York. But Abyway very interesting I will look more into it

As long as Norwegian keeps throwing JFK those cheap transAtlantic flights in that 787, I’ll be happy. It’ll always be a last resort for me when selecting flights but knowing there’a an ultra cheap option is comforting

Keep em coming

That’s great news! Maybe I’ll spot the 787 soon!
