I continue to experience intermittent issues with sound effects not working when I start a flight but ATC is working. The only fix I know of is to uninstall and reinstall the app but then I have to change my settings each time (today auto coordination was left on by accident…that wasn’t fun on landing… Haha). Restarting the app does not work. This has been going on for months now.
I almost never use the sim on my phone, but I did just try it and it works fine. I then switched to my iPad and it is also fine (for now). My home internet connection is very strong with a 1 gig Verizon connection and a full Orbi mesh system that produces close to that 1 gig potential. I wonder if this is somehow device related as I never had the issue prior to purchasing the iPad Pro 6th gen. It doesn’t completely make sense in my head but it is the only thing I can think of. I appreciate you looking into this and wonder if others have experienced this.
If it happens again, please try a different Wi-Fi network.
Also try your phone as a hotspot to see if that makes a difference.
If that doesn’t help, it could very well be device related.
Deleting and reinstalling the app usually works in that case. 🤷♂️
Have you tried rebooting the iPad?
It seems that offloading and reinstalling the app worked for another user. It was a different issue, but still.
You could try that as well.
That way you at least keep your settings. :)
