It may sound as a minimalistic detail, but everytime I enter the aircraft, the “No Smoking” sign is on.
Because we start with the engines on, with no start up procedures, I suggest having said button locked in ON.

Yeah, Smoking is Injuries to health.
We as captains don’t want our passengers smoking before we enter the airplane :/

I agreed with you until you got to beacons. Anti-collision only goes on as part of the before start flow doesn’t it? Other than that completely agree that nav and no smoking are always left on.
On a LOT 788 they don’t even have a no smoking sign, they just tell you its prohibited during the safety video. Its now widely accepted that theres no smoking on commercial aircraft.
Beat me, does what you want! For me the light is out! I oute me. I smoke. In cockpit. I always fly alone and bother anyone with it. If there is too much I open the window. Yes! during the flight. The cockpit door is always closed. The lamp remains off.

That wouldn’t be realistic. In real life, you have to manually turn on “no smoking.”
