Hello, recently I have seen that not a lot of people are flying the Dash 8. I don’t really understand that because it is really easy to fly, the physics are great and it the only commercial propeller aircraft we have in IF, plus it is a small aircraft that is mostly operated on short hauls flights which makes it good for the IF region. I understand that not experienced people that are flying on TS1 or casual prefer to fly 737’s or 777’s but experienced flyer should fly them more often I think.
I hope that with the engines off/on feature on global will help it.
Tell me what you think about this and if you are flying it regularly.
Umm… I fly on TS1 as well (I’m Grade 2). I was referring to the people who taxi through grass, land with no gear and ignore active ATC. Those are the people I’m talking about. I presume you’re a perfectly able pilot.
People fly the Dash all the time. I don’t keep stats, obviously, but I certainly see plenty of them when controlling. I don’t know about TS, I’m sure everyone is busy flying 380s to KNUC, but Dashes all over the place on ES.
Well, being a controller who has to make adjustments for their slow final approach speed, I probably notice them a lot more. If I was just flying, I probably wouldn’t pay any attention at all.
