This is a relatively minor issue, but I’ve noticed since the most recent update that I can’t hear the E175 flap sounds, no matter where in the aircraft I position the camera (cockpit, cabin, HUD, etc). I can hear all the other sound effects just fine (gear, engine startup, autopilot discconect), but not the flaps.
I have this issue too. The way it works is, that if I put flaps on 1, 2, 3, or all the way, I can hear sound. If I put them on 4 or 5 though, there is no sound. This also applies for the Embraer 190.
From your end, are you experiencing something similar?
I’ll have to try the E175 as well, since as you mentioned for you it came last update. I just thought it was a bug on my end, but now it seems like there’s a widespread issue.
IRL The E175 flaps 3-5 all have the same flap extension but 4-5 have a different slat extension than 3. IF doesn’t have slat extension and retraction noises yet hence no sound as the flaps aren’t extending or retracting between those flap settings
The reason for that is because the flap itself doesn’t move. Changing from Flaps 3 to Flaps 4 only moves the slat, while there seems to be no change whatsoever between flaps 4 and 5 (at least from the cockpit indications). That has always been the case, and is the case on a few other aircraft (I believe that’s the case on the A350 when changing from Flaps 0 to Flaps 1 as well).
