Sorry forgot pic

It’s a NOTAM in place for tonight’s FNF warning people to not fly between the three New York airports or risk immediate ghosting. More details can be found here, Friday Night Flight: East Coast Fly-in @ New York Airports - 010600ZMAR19

So I cannot fly near New York?

You can fly near New York and into any of the airports, you cannot fly directly between the three major New York airports, like KJFK-KLGA for example.

Not from airport within red crircle to an aiport within circle

So it’s a no fly zone inside the red circle?

You can still fly there, just not between the airports in the circles.

Only people who participate in the event can fly there?

No, flying from airports outside the red circle to airports inside the red circle is fine. Flying from airports inside the red circle to airports outside is fine. Flying from airports inside the red circle to airports inside is not and will result in ghosting.

Yes, it’s a community event open to everyone.

What about the big circle?

You CAN fly to any airport within the red circle.
You CANNOT fly from airport to airport within the red circle.

Example: KDEN-KJFK is OKAY
KEWR-KJFK is NOT OKAY

Got it, thanks!

You can fly in the big circle, just not between the airports inside it.

You can fly in or out just you cant fly to jfk/lga/ewr within 50NM(big red circle)

A mod can close now

Reason for the red circle. They do not want people taking off from EWR, LGA, JFK or any other airport in the vicinity in the red circle, and try to land immediately at those airports.

They want people to fly from outside the red circle into those airports.

As explained earlier:

Just tap within the red circle and it will tell you. 🙂
