New U.S. Airline to Begin Operations Using Silver Airways Aircraft

A new airline, tentatively called “Argentum Airways,” is expected to launch after acquiring Silver Airways former ATRs. They are currently in the process of taking over Silver’s AOC, and they say they’re ready to resume operations “swiftly” upon receiving approval. Conservative estimates from Argentum place the commencement of operations in late 2025.

Interestingly, Argentum is Latin for Silver. It has said it will operate within Florida and the Bahamas, but unlike Silver it may also have regional coverage in Alaska.

Wow, that’s a great and cool way to ig “rebrand” silver airways. Also I really hope we get the ATR’s in game, that would be even cooler. Wonder what livery are they going to put on. Or if it will stay the same.

Hopefully it could cash in some of that sweet EAS money, pulling out of the program was one of Silver’s worst moves imo.

Do you know if they are keeping the liveries for now or if they are going to repaint before launching?

Great article @Poxy ! It’s great to see that the ATR’s won’t be totally lost in therms of US airlines using them.
