New Rule (Suggestion) for Features

I think this rule should be in place:

If a #features thread is inactive for 3 months or more, it should be closed, making others able to make #feature requests.

No we don’t like it like that, we want it the way it is.

I like it the way it is now. :)

Yeah it’s true.

Don’t need it. Why should we delete feature requests if people will just create more? Remember, this is a forum, not a race 😉.

A very strong point.

It will recycle the thread. (Forum)

Speak for yourself, we don’t need you to be the alpha dog here, just because you may not like it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t have to be a rule.

Do you know what I mean? It will help the forum and moderators!

What’s the point of closing a features request so that somebody will go and post the same exact thing again and say that the other one was closed.

It will get a chance for people who haven’t made feature requests. Also, if that thread (like the A350 one) is popular, that means it should be added!

To be completely honest, I don’t think we should have this in place. I believe we should have one topic per topic. I’m not a big fan of the “close that topic because it’s old” thing; it divides the discussion up and it makes it hard for users to search for the most current topic when there is a bunch of older topics that are closed.

That way people can’t see how many likes or who wants it. How are the devs meant to look at the likes for a topic if it’s constantly being re-made? Defeats the purpose of the features catagory.

We have a 90 day closure after the last reply, that’s good enough. If people really want that feature they will keep it active.

There is no need for this…

Well then why people make Duplicates?
