New nose for the 747 VC-25?

Someone took this picture five days ago. It looks like the 747 VC-25 got a new nose. What do you think?

What much difference does it make actually? 😂

Nothing really, it just surprised me.

I think it is just a replacement which was needed away from base - hence not in normal livery, and a painting of the new nose cone would occur once back at Andrews.

Better radar? As most aircrafts’ radar are in the nose.

Yes but the nose protects it I don’t think it serves any purpose other then to protect it

exactly, so the other cover was probably damaged.

Yes it most likely was, you see this all the time with British airways aircraft where they have changed the cowling of the engine but it’s still white and hasn’t been painted it looks so weird
