New Korean Air Boeing 747-8i

LINK

A little over a month ago from the time of making this Features, Korean Air unveiled a new, simplified livery on one of their Boeing 787-10s that features their updated branding. Not too long after, a Boeing 777-300er was seen with the new livery and just recently, a Boeing 747-8i.

The Boeing 747-8i is the last version of the passenger 747s with only Air China, Lufthansa, and Korean Air operating the type. With this new livery, a little bit more variety can be added to the fading giant, The Queen of The Skies.

If you would like to see The Queen of The Skies get new colors for what may be the last time, please vote for it!

@PhorzaSky himself doesn’t even like this livery, that’s why he didn’t vote for it.

Cause it isn’t an immediate priority.

However, I really do like this livery. I’m a simp for simplicity and this livery is the best one I’ve seen on the 747-8i. It’s the new KLM but better

I like simplicity, but this is waaayyyy too far…

Its objectively a nice livery but still, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

One reason why nobody votes :sob:

The atrocity conquered the Queen after all…

Caught it in person. Strange to actually see it in the real life.

There’s no color variation… it’s just… blue (and white)

At least it isn’t as aggressively minimalist as the 2018 Lufthansa livery

This is heinous

i don’t mind the new livery i honestly probably prefer this livery over both KLM and Lufthansa’s Liveries they all have followed the same simplistic designs and not much colour variation.

My initial impressions for the new livery were pretty bad. Over time, I’ve come to like the new livery on the 787 and 777. I don’t like this on the 747 for one reason.

The 777 and especially the 787 are very sleek, minimalist planes. That means that a minimalist livery such as the new Korean Air livery suit them well. However, the 747 is NOT sleek or minimalist. It is a brute, a gargantuan feat of engineering. Such complexity does not deserve a simple livery. It’s like putting a black turtleneck on a bodybuilder. Those don’t compliment one another, and neither does this livery and the 747.

What’s something that goes along well with flying new Korean 747-8 in IF? Having a model of that exact aircraft!

Aside from owning your own 747, this livery shows that even with the 747 no longer being produced, Korean Air still cares about the 747 presents in their fleet. This may well be the last livery we see on the 747. Along with this livery having a bitter sweet meaning for the 747, it offers more variety to for 747 fans in IF. The more liveries, the more options people can use

When you realize that the new Korean 747 looks more like a whale than the A380 :eyes:
