Hello, I don’t know if you noticed that Lima’s new Jorge Chavez Airport opened three days ago, meaning the old airport gate was closed after 60 years of service.

My question is: Will the IF global map be updated for this new airport? Or will it be a decision made by the IFAET editors?

It will get updated at some point - whenever the editors next get around to it and there’s adequate scenery available at the required resolution.
The satellite image in IF won’t be updated. However the editor of this airport is responsible for the update of 2D and 3D once there are reference imagery.
This is obviously something for us to do. Depending on how complete the airport appears in the imagery, it can be edited at some point. We’re aware airports have renovations and new infrastructure, SPJC is not the exception.
