New Google Earth Scenery, Will this effect Global?

I’ve just had a thought. New google earth has been released today which most of the buildings are now 3D, do you think the Devs will use google earth as the streaming terrain? As this would be incredibly cool.

Nope, Google Earth Update wont effect Global as Infinite Flight wont be using Google’s satellite imagery as mentioned by Laura due to Third Party Issues. So It wont affect anything to Global’s Progress

Nope. As Infinite Flight’s Global Terrain doesn’t use Google Maps Satellite imagery due to third party problems. So it won’t change anything in Global’s process 😊

I doubt Google earth streams that sort of info.
The developers most likely have some sort of API that gets and streams the terrain data.

I believe Global will have its own independent satellite imagery provided by another service, no Google. Laura mentioned it weeks back in San Francisco during a live cast/global preview. More info here:
