As some may have seen that I was attempting to beat the IF flight time record (thanks to the AP+ bug). I was checking in once every 48 hours to restart the timer. However, last two times, the fuel did not stay at 100%, instead it kept going up! Last time it went to 136% but this didn’t affect the flight at all. I have just checked in to my flight and the fuel level was at 275% so of course, this cased the aircraft to stall out of the sky straight away (although I was going 300kts at 28000) leading to a crash into Mount Everest.
I experienced this issue as well yesterday while flying WSSS to WSSS via SEQM (Yes, I am doing a round the world but not landing at SEQM). Logged back in after 45 hours in the air to find my fuel at 160ish% and the aircraft started stalling and dropping out of the sky but I managed to save it and dump fuel and landed safety at my destination
Maybe you could try to replicate a similar situation that OP and myself were in and see if there is a difference?
We both flew on AP+ for a significant amount of time. OP did more then 48 hours while I did 45 hours. I believe not everyone will faced this during AP+ usage as not everyone is trying to push the boundaries.
I dont know if its related, but i did some flights using Airbus long haul jets (A330 and A380) the fuel consumption is not about right.
Currently i’m doing VHHH to CYVR on an A330, i load the plane with 14 hour of fuel on a 12 hour flight ( i load up a bit more reserves) but right now approaching vancouver, it still has 8 hour of fuel left.
