New Flap sounds

Love this idea!!

You look at the ui or look at the flap leaver or go to outside view may ways to tell if your flaps are down or not

Truly needed on the A320 . Its sound is amazing

It’s something we definitly need, good sounds makes the simulation feel 10 times better, voted for it!

Voted! Something that would be amazing to hear and bring realism to the game.

Maybe deleting the flap sounds in the airliner cockpit view and muffling them when on cabin view would be a nice solution.

Sometimes clic sounds for Airbus’s and more distinctive sounds when moving levers in the 737 or the 747

But I’m getting bored when still earing that odd sound still present in the Sim when switching Flaps positions

Wanna bump this. Honestly we would be better off just fully getting rid of the current flap sounds in my opinion. They are so loud… You shouldn’t really be able to hear them travelling in most aircraft, certainly not from the flight deck

I wonder, how difficult would it be to eliminate the sfx of the flaps when on cockpit mode?

If we wanna be realistic they should add in a clicking sound when selecting flaps… But the flap travel noises should be eliminated all together as in the real world they are not audible from the flight deck and just barely audible in the cabin

I’m bringing this up again because with the new pipeline it would be possible to add new sounds for flaps and aircraft.

Quick question, are flap sounds audible IRL in the cockpit? If not, maybe the dev team should eliminate them, and keep them when you’re in cabin view.

I agree with @Cody_M they should get rid of the sound in general and add the flap selector noise in the flight deck. They should also add clicks to switches and knobs

Compared with this, it’s better to update the engine sound, which is more necessary and more realistic

Whats wrong with the engine sound packs? Sure some of them could be changed but most newer aircraft id say are as good as they can get.

No, the engine sound of many aircraft is not real. The sense of hierarchy and the sound in different positions are different. You can go to the airport to listen to the real engine sound. At different power, different speeds and different positions, many aircraft engines of IFS sound thin and monotonous.

Its kind of hard to get real sounds.

Bumping again!
