New Brussels Airlines "Belgian Icons" livery!

Brussels Airlines has a tradition of creating “Belgian Icons” liveries, resembling important Belgian landmarks/people/events. This year, they announced that they’d host a contest where any Belgian citizen can submit a design.

After the contest that received 900(!) livery submissions, Thomas Faes won the contest with his “Atomium” livery:

The design honours the Atomium, a historical Belgian landmark resembling an atom up close, built for the world exposition.

Hi! Usually you need to have a TL (Trust Level) 2 to be able to post in Real World Aviation. But since it’s the holiday season… I moved it for you this time. Very cool livery!

Somehow the designer made it look Art Nouveau-esque which is also a quality and icon of Belgium: Viktor Horta!
