New ATC schedule arrival/departure chart

Can someone help me, I am unsure of what the chart means at the bottom with arrivals and departures. Do we use E or W to plan? Does it depend on winds and how am I suppose to know? Any help would be very appreciated, thanks!

If you’re departing, find a runway that has “departing” next to it, and that will be one of your options. Same goes for arrivals. :)

Yes I understand that, but how am I suppose to know what side I will be landing on? I know it has to do with winds, but if I were to make a flight plan before, how could I know what side of the runway is being used?

You will normally try to land against the wind, so that’s something to check. Also the Green and yellow markings mean that the wind is preferable for that runway end, even though this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the end in use.

Checking Live Flight will show you the current traffic flow, which will (if there’s traffic) show you which runways are currently in use.

Approach controller will guide you on he correct runway. If approach isn’t present, you listen to the ATIS (when in range).
