Infinite Flight’s ATC (IFATC) team is a qualified group of controllers that provide air traffic services for the Expert Server, and if you regularly fly there you’ve likely checked the ATC Schedule before to plan your next flight! Coming in May 2021, Infinite Flight will launch the region assignment program, allowing controllers to select one of ten global regions around the world, control any airport within that regional boundary at any time, and remain within their area of operation on a more permanent basis. We now clear the ATC Schedule for takeoff, say “frequency change approved”, and introduce a new way of staffing airports around the world on the Expert Server!
This will be a big change. Really excited for it. Change may seem scary, but it’s an exciting time! I’m really looking forward to it being implemented!
This is huge for Infinite Flight, along with Buildings, clouds and new aircraft this will just push Infinite Flight into a new level of simulation. I congratulate and thank Tyler for making this change! It is only for the better.

This is the goal! A new milestone for Infinite Flight with continuous coverage around the world. We also open the door to work even closer with our community event creators and Virtual Airlines.
I like this a lot! I always thought that it was strange that only one region was being controlled per day in a fight sim where you can fly around the whole globe.
