Nature Air was a domestic airline in Costa Rica that operated from the 1990s until it ceased operations in 2018 after one of its planes crashed, killing all 12 people on board. The crash occurred on December 31, 2017, when Nature Air Flight 9916, a Cessna Caravan turboprop, crashed into a mountain shortly after takeoff from Punta Islita Airport. The cause of the crash was determined to be pilot error and lack of proper safety oversight by the airline.
Prior to their closure, they operated a decently sized route network throughout Costa Rica and the surrounding countries with their fleet of C208s.
