The biggest airspace change ever implemented in the UK
NATS (National Air Traffic Control) announced earlier last week that it had ‘implemented the biggest ever geographical airspace change in the UK, removing long-established air routes over Scotland and freeing aircraft to choose their most direct flight path.’
This plan has been in the making for multiple years now and has finally become a reality! This change will allow aircraft to improve efficiency, reduce flight times and emissions.
