My trip to the Hamamatsu Air Base Museum

Hey community, haven’t posted in a while so I thought to post my experience at the Hamamatsu Air Park, at the air base of the same name. Anyway let’s get to the photos!

The JASDF F-86F in the colors of the Blue Impulse, a Japanese version of the Blue Angels or the Red Arrows. This is the first generation, the aircraft that are currently performing are the third generation, likely to be replaced in the coming years.

Overall view of the museum.

The first and only JASDF Dh.115 Vampire. I find the aircraft fairly unique with its two tails and single fuselage.

The T-6 Texan trainer aircraft.

Some helicopters! From left to right: Sikorsky H-19, Boeing V-107, and Sikorsky S-62J

Another Blue Impulse F-86F

I got to sit in the cockpit of this one, here are some F-86 instruments

The Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour, mounted on this cutaway of a JASDF F-1

And there was more outside as well! This JASDF C-46 Commando on display.

A Nike-J missile and launcher. I was quite surprised by this absolute unit, I’m in awe at the size of this lad.

And that’s it for today, I’ll you next time folks.
