My journey

How Infinite Flight Helped Me Find My Wings

Growing up with a mild intellectual disability, life was often challenging. I struggled to talk about my experiences and kept my feelings to myself, unsure if others would understand. It wasn’t easy to find where I fit in, and for a long time, I felt isolated. But one thing always brought me comfort—aviation. Watching planes soar through the skies inspired me, though I doubted I’d ever truly belong to that world.

Then I discovered Infinite Flight. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to handle the complexity of a flight simulator, but once I took my first virtual flight, everything changed. I fell in love with the experience of flying and started improving my skills, from learning proper procedures to perfecting my landings. It gave me confidence and a sense of purpose I hadn’t felt before.

What truly changed my life, though, was the community. Initially, I was hesitant to engage, but I slowly began interacting with others on the forums and in a Facebook group where I later became an admin. Through these spaces, I made amazing friends who shared my passion for aviation and supported me as I opened up about my challenges. Their kindness and encouragement helped me step out of my shell and see my own potential.

Infinite Flight became more than just a hobby—it was a turning point in my life. The confidence and connections I built gave me the courage to pursue another dream: becoming a student EMT. Today, I’m working toward that goal with the same determination I’ve gained from my Infinite Flight journey.

To anyone facing challenges or feeling unsure of themselves, I want to say this: your struggles don’t define you. With the right support and a community that believes in you, anything is possible. For me, Infinite Flight gave me a place to belong and the wings to fly higher than I ever imagined.

I think i can say this on behalf of the entire community, we are proud of you for who you are, your aspirations of who you want to become, and for the progress you’ve made towards that goal. Keep on fighting the good fight, and dont let other people bring you down. At the end of the day, you are your own worst enemy and i think you are conquering it slowly but surely.

Keep up the good work!
