My iPad's Eleven-Hour of Labour - VHHH to CYVR

Welcome to my virtual flight from Hong Kong to Vancouver!
I was feeling a little bored today and kinda wanted to torture my iPad a bit, since it hasn’t been allowed some suffering in quite a while.

So I decided maybe I should do a trans-pacific to visit Vancouver, since it just got 3D and I so wanted to fly there, and I did! Here are some photos on the way across the very large pond

==================

GE-90s roaring the machine off into the skies from its home of Hong Kong - captured by a ‘guy’ passing by Sha Lo Wan

It’s Japan! The galleys are going on fire preparing for the first meal service!

What’s better than enjoying supper with the view of Mt. Fuji (served with some turbulence like always)?

The beautiful sunset that always join into any trans-pacific flight, enjoyed with some minor turbulence. Lights in the cabin are also dimming, time to drop into the comfort of your seat, and have a good few hours of sleep.

Woke up to a pitch-black Alaska, would have looked fabulous in real life, where towns and cities do have lights! Time to rush to the galley and hop around for some CX signature in-flight cup noodles!

The sun is rising again as we near the coast of BC! The smell of breakfast service is running across the cabin, I can only imagine that omelette rushing into my mouth! What’s worse than pushing the trolley during moderate turbulence - must be prepared to get down at any second. This passenger’s meal was sitting right in-front of them when the crew had to push it all the way back to the galley to prepare for some severe turbulence.

Starting our descend into Vancouver! The GE-90s can finally get a little bit of rest, before it has to come back howling again on final!

Intercepting 08L localiser!

As flaps shot full, the flight was coming to an end…

On short final! Captured by another spotter!

Welcome to Vancouver! My iPad is desperate for some rest by now.

That’s it! Thanks for joining in!
