My First Ultra-Long-Haul Flight

Tomorrow I will be doing my first ultra long-haul flight! Does anybody have any cool 8-10 hour routes for me? Preferably transatlantic routes. Thank you!

Seoul to Mexico City on the AeroMexico B787-8 or Narita to Mexico City on the AeroMexico B787-9 are nice!

EGLL - YSSY - 16-18h

KJFK - WSSS - 19h

WSSS - KEWR - 18h

and lots of more. but this 3, is my fav.

Omdb-kiah which is Dubai to Houston with the 772lr Emirates. My favourite route and the best for me.

Ultra long haul usually are above 12hrs plus
8-10 hrs long is considered long haul not ultra!

Not even 12, long haul is 5-15 hours and ultra long haul is like 15-25 hours the ultra super long haul is 25+ hours.

KDFW-EHAM American B789
KDFW-RJAA American B789
KMCO-EGLL British B772
KSLC-PHNL Delta A333

Here is some I can think of

U could do the following routes!

  1. KLAX-EGLL (American 777 300/BA 777 300)
  2. KJFK-LGAV (Delta A330 900/American 777 200)
  3. WSSS-EGLL (BA 787 9/Singapore 777 300)
  4. LTFM-KJFK (Turkish 777 300)
  5. KJFK-SGBR (American 777 200/LATAM 787 9)

Sorry but I disagree

Classification as it stands:

Short haul = up to 4hrs
Medium haul = 4.5hrs to 7hrs
Long haul = 7.5hrs to 11.5hrs
Ultra long haul 12hrs plus

My favorite flight is a flight that has a very inefficient route… basically the flight is OTTH-PHNL

I’ve modified it to take me from OTTH-EGLL-KJFK-KATL-KLAX-(PHNL)

Sometimes I stop at LAX. Stopping at Lax the flight takes ~18 hours, stopping at HNL takes ~23 hours

But about a 10 hour flight Gatwick-Heartsfield.
