My first time!

Hello IFC:

I have an interesting story.

Well, a first happen for me today. This afternoon while on approach to DFW from PHX, we had to abort the approach due to some reason. The captain told us but I wasn’t paying much attention. 15 minutes later getting delayed vectors we started our approach and landed on runway 17R. We used the whole runway and since we landed higher than normal speeds the flight crew wanted the trucks to be rolled to check the brakes. Here are some pictures of the action! It really must be #2020 after all.

May have been a flap issue. Quicker speeds, more pressure on brake which may cause them to over heat

The more I think about it, that’s probably what happened

Considering the flaps werent down on photo 1 i believe it was flaps

Waaaa… yeah maybe the brake or the flap issue as mentioned above. Most importantly all of the PAX and crew landed safely( hmm maybe not safely but reached PHX safely without no one being harmed) that’s more important!

We landed safely. Plane didn’t catch on fire and we didn’t go off the end of the runway so. I didn’t Feel unsafe through any of it so

Glad to hear that you guys reached safely :) And I’m sorry if my previous post came out in the wrong way 😔

How did the landing itself feel? Like could you tell it was faster? Was it still good or did it slam into the ground?

As of right now (Friday at 2100Z), the plane, N854NN is still on the ground at DFW…probably getting maintenance

Interesting that there was an issue onboard.

Currently scheduled for a 4:30 PM departure to Miami tomorrow. Let’s see if it happens

I could tell the landing was definitely faster than normal but honestly it was smooth for the situation.

Stuff happens. It definitely won’t stop me from flying. Just thought I’d share it since this kind of stuff hasn’t happen to me before and I’ve been flying a long time

Hasn’t happened to a lot of people before😂😅
