I missed a group flight from Boston to Athens so I decided to fly it myself to get the feel for an overnight flight. I ended up taking off into the sunrise and my descent into Athens was gorgeous!! It was a great experience over all :)
Nice pics! The majority of flights longer than 6 hours I do overnight. I definitely prefer flights around 12 hours long best so I’m not cutting it too close in between sleeping and work. You get 8 hours of sleep, and get to watch some of the flight!
This is a very nice flight I need to say when I do flights I do the ones that arrive at 6am in the morning but the earliest one was at 4:45AM by accident due to strong wind it broke my eyes for a couple of minutes due to the light.
Yeah, night flights are good! But i always set an alarm before landing, you never now, i’m sleeping like a koala, and it’s taking me 10 min do realize where i am after waking up.
Conclusion :, i have to set a alarm.
Anyway, congratulations that’s a good experience if you don’t oversleep
Nice mate. Love doing night flights. Would love for them to add a feature on the VNAV that allows the autopilot to step climb if the flight plan says so you don’t need to worry about fuel consumption
