My First Solo Flight!

Yesterday, after years of flight training, I had my first solo flight being only 16 years old. Even though the weather was just above minimums, I had a great time and stayed cool as a cucumber. The aircraft I soloed in was a Piper Warrior II.

I was supposed to solo back in November in a Cessna Skycatcher, however, instrumentation failure right before the flight grounded that attempt. After the problem(s) had been fixed, another pilot who rented the aircraft crashed it into a snowbank upon landing. Bad luck!

I spent about a month transitioning to the Piper Warrior and I’ve loved it ever since. I am greatly looking forward to the rest of my flight training!
