So I just took off from Dublin and after going into AP+ I checked my stats and saw that I’m doing my 1,000th flight!
In just 7 months I’ve done 1,000 flights and 2,500 hours of flying. How long will it take to get to 2,000 I wonder…

1000 flight but can’t maintain centerline
23 knot direct crosswinds and a plane I’m not used to flying in crosswinds.
I fly the 747 and know how to takeoff in that but the 777 is not one I’m used to doing crosswind takeoffs in
Use rudder and aleoron into the wind
I think he knows that, but sometimes winds kicks in so hard that you don’t expect it so much.
And secondly on takeoff you have your available fingers (mainly two thumbs) on many buttons at the same time. Gears up, ATC handoff, autopilot activate … then some heavy gusts of wind can throw you aside.
Btw: Happens sometimes to real airliner pilots too.

You’re right and congratulations to the man for making 1000 flight and congrats on being way to the right of the runway nearly causing a pod strike and not going to the cheif pilots office impressive
But despite this great achievement, I do miss some new laughing threads of you
