I haven’t flown in over a month due to this issue and I’m not sure whether it’s on my end with WiFi connection or if it’s on the IF servers. I can load into a flight well, takeoff and cruise but as soon as I start descending I lose connection. I am still able to fly but it kicks me off the multiplayer server. I don’t have access to saving the flight nor using ATC.
I have good WiFi in my house so I’m not sure why I would be disconnecting as much as I am. On my next flight I’ll try using my phone’s hotspot and see if that makes things better. If not, what can I do? Is there anything I can really do?

Can you try to use a VPN?
I have the same issue on iPad mini. Error 8 to be specific.
Edit- a device restart worked for me. Try that.

That’s actually a good idea, I can try that.
Just went and read a few other related posts and saw a lot of people with the same issues. Seems like they have to use their hotspots in order to get around it.
I’ll check out the VPN and hotspot and see how they do.

We’re not seeing any indications of server issues on our end.
No abnormal stats at all.
As someone mentioned, device restart and such might help a lot in these cases.
Also - it is multiplayer specifically you’re losing connection too during the descent?

Well that’s good news on your guys end!
I did do a restart on my device.
And yes, it’s only during my descent. I’m able to load in perfectly fine no issues. I’m able to taxi, takeoff and cruise with no issue. It usually starts about 20-25 mins before descending/landing.
About 2 months or so ago I never had this issue. I don’t get the best of WiFi connection in the back part of my house but it’s still good connection. As I mentioned about 2 months ago I could complete all my flights no issue. I first noticed it on April 17th. Thought it was an error on the server and didn’t think much of it.
On April 19th it happened again. Tried on the 20th and the same issue. As someone recommended I’m gonna try out using a VPN or my personal hotspot and see if I’m able to complete a flight or not.
I’m facing the same issue! Even though I have a good connection speed, I still have the problem of getting disconnected in midair without any explanation
