Most interesting plane you’ve seen in real life

What is the most interesting plane you’ve seen in real life. The most interesting plane I’ve seen was last night when a United 737-900 flew over my house (In Southeastern PA) flying from Newark to Tampa. Seeing a 737 like this is less than interesting for me. Hundreds of planes fly over me from E170s going to DCA, the daily 777/787 to Baltimore to the 747s from Frankfurt and London going to PHL at about 5k feet. The interesting thing about this plane was that it is N81449. That is the plane my family and I took in Late July from Kona, Hawaii to San Francisco on our way home from vacation. The sun was setting and we eating dinner on my deck when the plane flew over so the lights of the aircraft were clearly visible. It was a cool moment when I was able to say: “Remember the plane we took from Kona To San Francisco, that’s it” as I pointed to it in the air. Needles to say they didn’t really care but it was cool for me. It was amazing to see a plane I flew on almost 5000 miles away in the middle of the Pacific

About 8 years ago, I saw the Lufthansa A380 takeoff from Miami when I was a few miles off the coast of Miami on a cruise.

Definitely always cool to spot aircraft flying near you while in the air. I remember seeing an American 787 fly over my aircraft while descending into DFW.

We already have a similar topic about this already. Or else I must be mistaking between “interesting” and “rarest”. 😉

But to answer your question, I purposely drove to Shannon to spot the Antonov 124 departing to Burgas.

Had to be a freaking AN-124 coming to KPDX. Like we have not gotten one for almost a decade.

A225 flying at 10,000ft over my house. Can’t beat it, despite all the cool aircraft at Oshkosh etc

Whelp. I quit, call me when the freaking strato-launch flies over your house.

Oh. I got the most interesting thing to come to PDX. An E-3 Sentry. You heard me right. We have not gotten one of those since like 2005.

The last few times I’ve been to Newark I’ve always seen the La Compagnie 757. Yesterday, I saw their new A321neo. It was pretty cool.

This one was pretty rare… a US Air Force U-2 shortly before departing RAF Fairford at departure day RIAT 2017… I actually saw 2 of these that day… what a score! 😍😍😍

I remember walking around my neighborhood in Brooklyn with my mom and just hearing this loud roar coming towards me. My first thoughts was that a plane was coming down right into my area. I thought it was over my heart dropped as the sound got louder and I had to close my ears shut to stop the noise. I look up and see three F-18 fighter jets flying very low over us . Definitely gave me and my mom a huge fright ! But at the same time was amazing because I never see an F-18 flying that low before in my life
