We have seen a lot of topics regarding what’s the most boring or what’s your favorite route you have flown. But lets switch it up and see what’s the most exotic route you have flown taking into consideration location, aircraft (livery) and how many people you have seen flying the route.

I think I have too many of those routes so to list just a few as an example:

Don’t kill me for flying in the US but…

I hand-flew the XCub around the Rocky Mountains. Not over them, but through the valleys and through the small mountain passes recreating the same kind of flying done by pilots in the 1920’s and 1930’s. I can’t remember the airports I departed/arrived from since this was a few months back, but it was a blast!

In my opinion that’s much more exotic and unique than flying 30,000ft above Indonesia in an A330 on autopilot.

Very nice route!
Ethiopian Airlines flies domestics in Mozambique in their Q400’s so you could’ve used that instead 😉

Damn that’s an interesting route. I flew a similar route but from Petropavlovsk Kamchatsky - Anchorage in the Yakutia 737-700 (generic livery ofc). It felt strange flying from Russia to the US in under 4hr lol

I’ve also flown to Anadyr, but from Vnukovo. Anywhere in the very North or Far East of Russia is exotic imo

Basically every route from Munich with Lufthansa besides LHR and CDG
Tunis - Munich (Tunisair)

Indonesian Island Hopping (I spare myself of naming those)
Luanda - Sao Paulo (TAAG B772)
Johannesburg - Nairobi (Lufthansa Cargo MD11F)
Doha - Dakar (Private B747)
Almaty - Male (Sunday Airlines B752)
Oslo - Spitzbergen (forgot the name of the city) (SAS B737)

I know they aren’t too exotic, but I prefer to fly to and out of my home airport so my choice is often quite limited

Mine was a preety short flight from Dubai World (OMDW) to Dubai International (OMDB) in a Emirates A380.
Sounds pretty unrealistic but happened quite a lot in the past. The flight is about 10 minutes long and is used to bring stored Emirates Aircraft from DWC back into Service at DXB.

My most exotic flight was one that I found from your topic here.

It was FWKI-KZQA in the Ethiopian 787-8.
I really enjoyed that flight and was one the most fun routes I’ve ever flown in IF!
