Today I finally had a chance to fly a route which I’ve been wanting to fly for a long time! With KCHA being updated to 3D, I decided to fly American’s morning flight between Chattanooga and Dallas with a departure time of 6:09. This is a flight that I’m on roughly half a dozen times a year, flying back and forth between school and home. I hope everyone enjoys the photos!
Good morning everyone to American Eagle, Flight 3512! As me and your co-pilot finish our preflight checks here on the flight deck, we welcome you to this morning flight! We are still good for an on-time departure, and expect to be in Dallas by 7:30. The weather radar shows a smooth flight, so we’ll finish boarding and be in the air shortly!
It’s a beautiful morning to fly! We finished preflight, and boarding a little ahead of schedule! Pushed back from the gate, and spooled up at 6:02 before taxiing to Runway 02.
Fortunately, Chattanooga is a pretty quiet airport, so there wasn’t much waiting between pushback and wheels up!
Today’s flight plan is a bit interesting! For a good portion of the flight, we will be flying along the Tennessee southern border, flying past Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Interestingly, if you look out the right side of the plane, you’ll be able to see all three states throughout the since we’ll only be a few dozen miles away from the border.
Today’s flight also takes us right over KMEM as well as the Mississippi river!
Before our initial descent, we also crossed through Arkansas and Louisiana, beginning our descent into KDFW just before the Louisiana/Texas border.
Flight attendants, please prepare the cabin for landing! We’ll be docking at Gate B2, a little ahead of schedule. We should be pulling up to the gate at about 7:20. Thank you for flying with us, and we hope that the rest of your travels are pleasant.
Smooth landing! Thankfully, there wasn’t a strong crosswind, so we were able to land without too much difficulty!
