More In-Depth ATIS Making Capabilities

Hello everyone!
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Today’s request brings us to the ATIS.
Currently, ATC can select runways of use, remarks, Notams, Rec Sid/Star, and frequency direction.
I think it would be great if ATC could choose whether they’d like for the system to automatically create the weather section of the ATIS for them, or if they’d like to manually punch it in themselves.
Additionally, more specific options to the ATIS like “high altitude”, or “airport is not accepting incoming traffic at this time” or “be advised of long wait times”, etc.

This is just a suggestion as the current ATIS is very informative how it is currently.

Hey, Daniel!

Believe it or not, Infinite Flight used to have an option for custom text in the ATIS. Controllers were able to add information such as the ones you mentioned.

Unfortunately, it was removed due to misuse/too long of a read time, among other things. I would, however, love to see preset boxes (like we currently have) with more detail (i.e., high altitude airport, taxiway/runway closures, etc.).

I’ll see if I can clear a vote for this!
