Ok coming!!!
I’ll (try) to keep it short:
- Transition should be 2500 above airport elevation, rounded up to the nearest 500.
- For every aircraft calling inbound, you need pattern entry->sequence (if required), then you give the clearance
- Runway change was smooth actually, dealt with the departing traffic well with extend downwind followed by the pattern entry, just remember that I was still on a touch and go so the option will be more appropriate.
- You can sequence and clear a plane as soon as the aircraft is on upwind, you don’t need to wait.
- Adding onto the above, clearing as number 2 is not the sequence, if the plane was already above the runway, you can clear as number 1 as well.
- You don’t need a pattern direction after the first direction was given (either during takeoff or option clearance).
Good luck!
Understood ! I was checking the manual to find about the transition altitude and thanks for highlighting it !! I’ll keep that in mind and thank you very much for the tips !
Sorry @MoonRaiku, didn’t see the scoot aircraft departing and almost caused a collision
Thanks @MoonRaiku for letting me do such great patterns
No worries man, thanks for coming in! Thankfully there’s no disturbance today
Yeah, there weren’t any disturbances :)
And now I’m back to rereading my manuals :)
And I’m back to drawing airports :)
Please “ask” them the progress for WMKK, it’s been delayed for 3 years now :(
Yeah, I really want it to come out soon with subang since I go to Malaysia often
The rest of my family lives in Malaysia and we go to meet them annually
Man I’m in Subang and working in WMKK irl 😭
Wow! Where do you work at (in KLIA)?
As a Philippines Airlines CS (KUL Based)
Oh, so not a GS then…
Because I was gonna ask you if you serviced D7218 (my flight 4 days ago)
Something like that…yeah, it’s more like a “ticketing officer” and “gate agent” combined together but most all of the times they asked me to stay in the office and do office work
Oh, what do you do in the office?
Nah man AirAsia is under GTR (Ground Team Red) so yeah I have no idea :)
